Leading Kids to Christ Through the Word
Matthew 19:14
Children are a gift from God and each child at Union is viewed as a gift from God to our ministry. "Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
It is our desire to be faithful to our Lord in leading His little ones into a relationship with Him. Through various events and activities we seek to help children grow closer to their Lord and Savior!
Sunday Mornings
8:45 - 9:45 Worship Service
Kid's worship meets during the sermon time. The kids are divided in 2 groups, preschool and elementary age kids. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
10:00 - 10:45 Sunday School
Come learn more about our Awesome God! Classes are grouped by grade level and curriculum is designed to be age appropriate. His word will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. Psalm 119:105
11:00 - 12:15 Worship Service
Lil' Shining Stars. Children 18 months to 3 years old have their very own time of worship, preschool style!
Kid's Worship. Come with lots of energy and enthusiasm as we sing praise to our God and King! Any child 4 years old through 6th grade is welcome. The songs are made for kids! There is also a time of digging into God's Word to seek out His truth for our lives.
Wednesday Nights - 6:30 - 8:00
Throughout the school season a variety of programs are offered. Some of those opportunities are as follows:
Huddle-Up Basketball - Starts Sept 11 & 12, a 10 week program - gives kids a chance to combine their love of basketball with their love for learning about God. Each age group rotates through the activities which include skills instruction, playing, snack, and Huddle time. Preschoolers also have a huddle time where they are read to by an adult. Any child 3 years old though 5th grade is welcome to come!
Wacky Wednesday - provides the opportunity for kids to learn more about our awesome God, sing songs, create crafts, make new friends, and work off some energy.

New Community Children's Ministry
Kid's worship meets during the sermon time of the New Community Service. We enjoy a lesson followed by a craft and/or a game to go along with the lesson and of course a snack. Rock Solid Kids
5th and 6th grade students will gather together once a month on a Sunday to prepare skits, songs, or puppets for Kid's Worship. They are a part of the leadership during Kid's Worship filling service roles based upon the gifts God has given them. Time and dates may vary depending upon the location and activity.
Summer
Vacation Bible School
VBS is for every child 3 years old through those entering 6th grade and is held in the evening during the first week of August.
Bike Hike and Swim
The Bike hike is a summer event where kids ride their bikes an age appropriate distance, swim, and share a meal together. It is fun for everyone!
Church Camp
Each year the children look forward to church camp at Camp Michindoh in Hillsdale, Michigan. This year the dates for camp are as follows.
Jr & Sr High - June 6-10th Elementary - June 11-15th
Fall
Saints Alive Party
The Saints Alive party is a celebration of All Saints Day and is held in the fall at the end of October. The event consists of a lesson time, and inflated obstacle course, great games for the kids, a hayride and supper.
